Brenda Estefan is a professor of Geopolitics and International Relations at IPADE Business School in Mexico City and a Senior Non-Resident Fellow at the Atlantic Council. She serves as an international politics analyst for various prominent media platforms and is a regular contributor to media outlets such as Americas Quarterly and Reforma, Mexico’s leading newspaper.
In Washington, D.C., Brenda served as the Ministry of the Interior attaché at the Mexican Embassy in the United States. In this role, she managed bilateral negotiations on issues such as the repatriation of undocumented migrants, border violence prevention protocols, port and airport security, intelligence sharing, and the protection of critical infrastructure.
