Shannon K. O’Neil is senior vice president, director of studies, and Maurice R. Greenberg chair at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), where she oversees the work of the more than six dozen fellows in the David Rockefeller Studies Program as well as CFR’s fourteen fellowship programs. She is a leading authority on global trade, supply chains, Mexico, and Latin America. Dr. O’Neil is the author of The Globalization Myth: Why Regions Matter, which chronicles the rise of three main global manufacturing and supply chain hubs and what they mean for U.S. economic competitiveness. She also wrote Two Nations Indivisible: Mexico, the United States, and the Road Ahead, which analyzes the political, economic, and social transformations Mexico has undergone over the last three decades and why they matter for the United States. She has taught at Harvard and Columbia Universities, and began her in emerging markets finance.

Aditi joined GE HealthCare in Dec-2022 as Global Treasury Operations Leader and Chief of Staff, responsible for leading
the project for standing-up new treasury organization by implementing new processes, new systems and onboarding

Prior to GE HealthCare, Aditi spent 14 years with GE Capital in various Treasury roles and was most recently the
Separation and Data Leader with GE Corporate Treasury. Aditi was the responsible for defining Treasury’s Tech Stack
strategy for GE’s three separating businesses. In addition to her GE’s separation responsibilities, Aditi also led Treasury
TMS and Data strategy implementation for GE Corporate Treasury. Prior to that, Aditi was based in Singapore as the

José E. Durán Lima is currently an Economic Affairs Officer and a Chief of International Trade and Regional Integration Unit at the Division of International Trade and Integration of the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC). He is an economist and holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Barcelona. He has more than 25 years’ experience as a researcher and consultant and has a particular interest in areas of research such as: Regional Integration, Vertical Specialization, Export Promotions, International Trade, Asia Pacific, and General Equilibrium Models.

He has several published papers and has contributed several chapters of several ECLAC flagship publications: Foreign Investment in Latin America and the Caribbean and Latin America and the Caribbean in the World Economy, among others. He is also a co-editor of several reference documents relating to trade policies in Latin America and the Caribbean including South American IO Matrix: main assumptions and methodology; The Pacific Alliance and its Economic Impact on Regional Trade and Investment: Evaluation and Perspectives and Latin America in Global Value Chains.

Joseph E. Gagnon, senior fellow since September 2009, was visiting associate director, Division of Monetary Affairs (2008–09) at the US Federal Reserve Board. Previously he served at the US Federal Reserve Board as associate director, Division of International Finance (1999–2008), and senior economist (1987–1990 and 1991–97). He has also served at the US Treasury Department (1994–95 and 1997–1999) and has taught at the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley (1990–91). He is author of Flexible Exchange Rates for a Stable World Economy (2011) and The Global Outlook for Government Debt over the Next 25 years: Implications for the Economy and Public Policy (2011), and coauthor of Currency Conflict and Trade Policy: A New Strategy for the United States (2017). He has published numerous articles in economics journals, including the Journal of International Economics, the Journal of Monetary Economics, the Review of International Economics, and the Journal of International Money and Finance, and has contributed to several edited volumes. He received a BA from Harvard University in 1981 and a PhD in economics from Stanford University in 1987.

Greig is a financial services expert with over 18 years of experience in client relationships, treasury management, and asset trading in global markets. Throughout his career, he has continually developed his skills in negotiation, complex problem-solving, and leadership.Having served in senior roles with a major Caribbean Financial Conglomerate, Greig brings valuable experience in regional capital markets to his current position as Head of Treasury and Corporate Finance at GraceKennedy Limited, a growing Caribbean-based Global Consumer conglomerate.He is a Certified Treasury Professional with an MBA in Banking from the University of London and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Miami, where he double-majored in Business Management and Marketing.

Doug attended Syracuse University and graduated with a B.S. in Finance with a minor in Economics. He spent 8-years at the Fuji Bank Ltd. In NYC as a money markets trader. He attended Fordham University graduating with an MBA in Finance & Accounting. Doug joined the Hertz Corporation in 1998 as Manager, Corporate Finance. In 2000, Doug joined IBM treasury. Doug spent seven years with IBM and held roles in capital markets, risk management & foreign exchange. While with IBM, Doug spent two years in Dublin Ireland on an international assignment in the role of Chief Dealer of IBM’s In-house Bank. In 2007, he joined GE Corporate Treasury as a Managing Director. Doug held various roles over his 7-year career at GE Capital. In 2014, Doug joined Booking Holdings as VP, Treasurer. Brenda Estefan is a professor of Geopolitics and International Relations at IPADE Business School in Mexico City and a Senior Non-Resident Fellow at the Atlantic Council. She serves as an international politics analyst for various prominent media platforms and is a regular contributor to media outlets such as Americas Quarterly and Reforma, Mexico’s leading newspaper.

In Washington, D.C., Brenda served as the Ministry of the Interior attaché at the Mexican Embassy in the United States. In this role, she managed bilateral negotiations on issues such as the repatriation of undocumented migrants, border violence prevention protocols, port and airport security, intelligence sharing, and the protection of critical infrastructure. Additionally, she worked as a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) on citizen security in Latin America and the Caribbean.

In Mexico, Brenda served as Chief of Staff to the Speaker of Congress and held various roles at the Ministry of the Interior, including Coordinator of International Affairs for the Minister.

Fluent in six languages—Spanish, English, French, German, Portuguese, and Italian—Brenda has been a speaker at prestigious institutions including the U.S. Navy’s National Defense and Security Center, the Council on Foreign Relations and Harvard University.

Ricardo Flores Delsol is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in treasury management, corporate financing, and investor relations. Currently serving as the Global Treasurer & Financing at Vitro. Since March 2019, Ricardo oversees centralized treasury positions, accounts receivable, and the structuring and negotiation of financing. He is also responsible for managing relationships with financial institutions, analysts, and investors.

Previously, Ricardo managed corporate affairs at Vitro, handling real estate administration, land acquisition, and construction projects from 2016 to 2019. Before that, they played a key role in Vitro’s corporate financing and restructuring efforts, ensuring compliance with financing obligations and maintaining investor relations from 2011 to 2016.

Ricardo is a Chemical Engineer from the Tec de Monterrey and began his career in 2005 as a corporate and investment banker, focusing on structured financing and syndications for private sector real estate developments and infrastructure projects for state governments.

Bhavna Kumarapuram is Senior Director, Global Treasury at News Corporation, where she plays a key role in supporting the Treasurer and leading the Treasury team across all aspects of corporate treasury. Her responsibilities include cash and liquidity management, debt financing, financial risk management, cash forecasting, and global bank relationship management. She has held this position since June 2023.

Before joining News Corporation, Bhavna was the Director of Treasury at The New York Times (NYT) where she was with the company for nearly six years. In this role, she was instrumental in developing and executing strategies to optimize the company’s cash structure and global banking operations. She also played a key role in securing financing through a revolving credit facility and developed an advanced cash forecasting model to enhance free cash flow projections.

Prior to her tenure at NYT, Bhavna worked in Corporate Finance at Ultimate Medical Academy (UMA), a nonprofit organization, where she led both corporate accounting and treasury functions. Her career in treasury began in India, and she later moved to the U.S. as a Senior Treasury Analyst at C&S Wholesale Grocers, one of the largest privately held supply chain companies in the U.S. She spent three years in this role, gaining valuable experience in treasury operations.

Morgan. María José is a senior Finance executive with broad experience in corporate finance, treasury, investor relations, and financial planning & analysis. She is currently VP of Treasury and Financial Planning at LATAM Airlines Group, where she leads strategic finance functions across the Group and played a key role in the company’s Chapter 11 restructuring, as well as in capital markets, corporate development, and global treasury operations.Before rejoining LATAM, she served as VP of Finance at Ripley Corp, overseeing corporate finance, investor relations, treasury, credit, and insurance. Earlier in her career, she was the Investor Relations Officer at LATAM during the consolidation period following the merger between LAN and TAM. Tai Carr-Fraser serves as Senior Director, Assistant Treasurer at Capri Holdings Limited. In this role, Tai oversees the Treasury department, managing global operations for renowned brands such as Versace, Jimmy Choo, and Michael Kors. Mack Makode is Vice President and Treasurer for Under Armour. Mr. Makode was appointed to his current position in April 2018. As Treasurer, Mr. Makode is responsible for capital markets, FX and interest rate risk management, working capital optimization, cash forecasting and treasury operations.

Prior to joining Under Armour, Mr. Makode worked at Mylan for almost 3 years as Vice President and Asst. Treasurer, and General Electric (GE) for almost 10 years, holding progressive leadership positions including Treasurer of two GE Businesses (combined assets ~$70B) with promotion to Asst. Treasurer of GE’s largest operating units (Industrial businesses) with $250+B assets in >130 countries. In these roles, Mr. Makode was responsible for FX, interest rate and commodity hedging strategies and hedge accounting, liquidity analysis and management, traditional and alternate funding, cash flow and working capital management, M&A evaluation and integration, and cash and bank account management.

Mr. Makode received his Ph. D. in Structural Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and MBA in Finance and Marketing from The Wharton Business School. Mr. Makode was a professional badminton player early in his career.

Mr. Makode lives in Clarkesville, MD with his wife and has two sons.

Francisco Salinas is the Treasurer for CEMEX USA since April 2019. In his current role, he oversees all cash management and financing activities for the CEMEX USA group. Since joining CEMEX in 2011, Francisco has held various roles in the Treasury and Planning departments at both CEMEX USA and CEMEX Corporate. Prior to joining CEMEX, he was part of the Downstream Controllers group at ExxonMobil in Fairfax, VA, and served as an Infantry Captain in the U.S. Army. Francisco holds a B.A. in International Affairs from the George Washington University and an M.B.A. from Rice University.

James Krikorian is the Vice President & Treasurer for Krispy Kreme. His extensive global treasury career began with the Italian headquartered Pirelli Spa and later Prysmian Spa where he worked abroad in Istanbul, London and Milan. More recently, and before joining Krispy Kreme, he headed the North American Treasury for AB Electrolux for the better part of a decade.

As a senior member of the Latin America Country Analysis team, Robert contributes to The Economist Intelligence Unit’s extensive product portfolio, advises private-sector clients and government officials, participates in conferences and is frequently quoted in the specialist media. He has been responsible for covering most of the key economies in the region, and currently specialises in Brazil. In his role as Manager for Latin America, Robert is responsible for providing technical and analytical direction to The EIU’s Latin America specialists on sovereign credit, currency and banking sector risk issues.

Before joining the EIU in 1997, Robert conducted consultancy work for the European Commission, and previously worked for a development-oriented non-governmental organisation in Mexico.

Robert has an academic background in the politics and economic development of Latin America, and holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Bristol and a Master’s degree in development studies from the University of Sussex.

Connie Miner is SVP, Global Head of Treasury at News Corp, where she manages all aspects of the Treasury function across the company. She started at News Corp in April of 2020 as VP, Assistant Treasurer.

Prior to joining News Corporation, Connie was Assistant Treasurer at Capri Holdings Limited (“CHL”) and was with the company for almost six years. During this time, Connie assisted in securing financing to fund the acquisitions of Jimmy Choo and Versace and was responsible for global treasury operations.

Previous to joining CHL, Connie worked on the Corporate Treasury team at The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company and started her career at Greif, Inc., both in the Global headquarters in Ohio and the South American headquarters in Brazil.

Connie is a Certified Treasury Professional, holds a Global MBA from the University of North Florida and a consortium of European universities, and graduated from The College of New Jersey with a B.S. in Finance and minor in International Business.

Currently the Assistant Treasurer at Bristol Myers Squibb, with responsibility over the capital structure, financial policy, interest rate & fx risk management, investments, and international operations. Prior to joining BMS I worked at Zoetis in Investor Relations, where I managed relationships with sell-side analysts and large institutional investors, in addition to supporting the CEO & CFO during earnings announcements. I joined Zoetis following the company’s spin-off from Pfizer, playing a role in establishing the global capital markets function. Prior to Zoetis, I was with Lehman Brothers and Barclays in several different capacities, including liquidity management, secured and unsecured financing, and municipal bond sales

Leandro Wendt is CFO at Agrícola Alvorada. Finance executive with more than 20 years of experience across all financial departments, holding decision-making positions in different companies such as Nutrien, Corteva, Dow Chemical, LDC and Brasil Foods. He has extensive experience in structuring departments, implementation of governance and internal controls, having built and led high-performance teams in constantly evolving environments. Awarded as Treasurer of the Year in 2022 by IBTC and leadership over the finalist teams for the IBEF Award for two consecutive years (2021 and 2022) and over the award-wining team of CONACREDI (2023); all of them recognized institutions in Brazil.Leandro holds an MBA from Fundação Getúlio Vargas and graduated from Universidade do Vale do Itajaí with a bachelor’s in business administration.
