66% of Indian treasurers feel more confident about their business' prospects in the next year.
13 NOVEMBER, MUMBAI - A majority of senior treasury and finance professionals in India (66%) feel more confident about their business' prospects for the year ahead compared to this year.
This was the key finding of the "Treasury Verdict" session taken by a live audience poll of senior treasury and finance professionals at EuroFinance's 11th annual conference on Cash, Treasury and Risk Management in India, held in Mumbai,.
The result shows that treasurers in India have a higher level of business confidence for the coming year than many of their peers around the world. At EuroFinance conferences in the past month alone, treasurers in Southern Africa (58%), Brazil (55%) and Europe (38%) have all demonstrated lower business confidence than their Indian counterparts
Katharine Morton, EuroFinance's Managing Editor, says: "Business confidence in India is high and there is definitely more hope around for the coming year. Companies are relatively less optimistic that the economy will be thriving next year, but there appears to be more confidence that the government is improving policy that will support the investment cycle."
