The event is taking place in the Fortezza da Basso, located within the Firenze Fiera, a Medicean fortress, built in 1536 by Giuliano di Sangallo. The Firenze Fiera successfully promotes and boosts Florence's meetings and exhibitions and is extremely competitive and high-level in a particularly complicated sector, where competition is becoming tougher and tougher.

Free Bus service
EuroFinance has organised a bus service from Florence and Pisa Airports, which will take you to Santa Maria Novella train station in central Florence on Tuesday 26th September and directly to the conference venue on Wednesday 27th September.

Buses will also pick up from the conference venue after lunch on Friday 29th September, taking you to Pisa and Florence Airports. This service is sponsored by Lloyds TSB. Please go to the hospitality desks upon your arrival in Pisa or Florence where you will be directed to the bus transfer.

Florence General Information
Cradle of the Renaissance and Mother of the Arts. Lying between the gentle Tuscan hills of the Arno River Valley, no single city has contributed as much Image of Florenceto the evolution of modern times, containing every form of beauty imaginable. Florence’s countless glorious buildings, immortal sculptures and fantastic paintings bear witness to the city's immense importance in the history of Italian art. Founded by the Etruscans around 200 BC, it was not until the 12th and the 13th Centuries that Florence achieved its commercial and political importance.

The city of Florence offers a wealth of beautiful sights that simply should not be missed in addition to excellent shopping. Guests may want to visit the famous Fine Arts Academy featuring the jewel of the Florentine Renaissance- Michelangelo’s incredible statue of “The David,” carved between 1501 and 1504. The wonderful Pitti Palace contains works by Titian, Raphael, Tintoretto, Caravaggio, Botticelli and Rubens and lying directly behind it one finds the famous Boboli Gardens, reflecting the taste of the high Renaissance period. One of the finest museums in the world, the famous Uffizi Gallery needs no introduction and proudly holds the largest private collection of mind-boggling works of art.

Piazza della Signoria, the open-air museum of Florence, is without a doubleFlorence churches one of the most beautiful squares in this wonderful city, not-to-mention the well-known Straw Market and the picturesque shop-lined bridge, Il Ponte Vecchio, famous for its selection of gold and silver. The famous Santa Croce area features the Sant’ Ambrogio market which sells food, local crafts and second-hand items. The San Lorenzo Market is held in one of the most typical squares in Florence and is renowned for its great bargains.





Travelling to Florence and the Firenze Fiera


Florence Airport (Amerigo Vespucci Airport)
Connected to the main European cities, Amerigo Vespucci Airport is located at Peretola, 4 km (2.5 miles) from Florence and can be reached by taxi (20 minutes).

Pisa Aiport (Florence International Airport)
