Forget the football - Which region will win the Treasury World Cup?

There’s been a few surprises in the World Cup, even to the extent that, having drawn Brazil in the office sweepstake, I was starting to wonder if my ‘sure thing’ was really in the bag after North Korea managed to keep the score at nil-nil for the first 55 minutes.

But never mind the football. The real issue is, what’s happening in the Treasury World Cup? Which region will come out on top in our latest Quarterly Global Business Confidence Survey? Will South America again show one of the strongest improvements in credit conditions? Will North America be least bullish? Will the Middle East still have the most risk-averse lenders? Will Asia/Pacific continue to show the kind of cash balance increases that keep that region at the forefront of economic recovery? And will Europe continue to be split between some of the best-performing countries and some of the worst – depending on whether they’re in or out the eurozone?

Well, with that tenuous connection with the World Cup out the way it’s time once again to ask corporate treasurers the world over to tell us what’s really happening. If you want to take part, please click here. It will take less time to complete than it takes to figure out why Spain lost to Switzerland – and as it feeds into our global database it helps provide an insightful benchmark of your treasury priorities. (And if you leave us your email address we'll send you the finished report.)

The survey is supported by J.P. Morgan but is independent of them and all individual responses are treated in strictest confidence – no information will be passed on to anyone outside of EuroFinance. So why not take a few minutes now and let us know whether your world is goals, vuvuzelas, or penalty shoot-outs!
